Zerao Stadium, Macapa, State of Amapa, Brazil
Originally, this multi-purpose stadium was named after Formula 1 driver, and Brazilian hero, Ayrton Senna but after the death of the Amapá State Football Federation’s former president, Milton de Souza Corrêa, it was renamed in his honor.
However, it is known locally as Zerao Stadium, with the name–and subsequent fame–coming from the unusual circumstance that the midfield line supposedly lies exactly on the Equator, thus causing each team to defend one hemisphere.
