Sanssouci Park, Unesco Site,  Potsdam, Germany

Sanssouci – this is not only the castle of the Old Fritz, his beloved retreat with sweeping views over Potsdam. Sanssouci is, above all, the park with the unique terraces and the splendid fountain in the center, world famous and 1990 in the world heritage list of the UNESCO.

For over 250 years, the highest gardening has been combined with the works of the most capable architects and sculptors of their time. Today, the visitors can change through the changing styles of exquisite gardening. In the form of garden parties, architectures, water games or more than 1,000 sculptures, one can discover the aesthetics and philosophy of the former inhabitants of the castle. The 300-hectare Sanssouci Park has an east-west extension of more than two kilometers.
