Along the way, strollers can admire sumptuous 18th- and 19th-century private mansions, such as the Elysée Palace, headquarters of the Presidency of the French Republic; Hôtel Beauvau, which houses the Ministry of the Interior; the residence of the American Ambassador and the British Embassy. Also lining the route are numerous luxury boutiques and art galleries, the five-star Bristol Paris Hotel and the church of Saint-Philippe du Roule.
