Puy des Goules, Orcines, Clermont-Ferrand, France
The Puy des Goules is a relatively accessible volcano, the parking of the ghouls being nearby and the altitude difference is reasonable. The view of Pariou and Puy de Dome is very clear and its crater has not much to envy to that of Pariou. You will find, however, a lot less people than on the latter.
Do not hesitate to make a detour to see the Sarcouy cave (where you can still see the traces of sarcophagi).
The climb is in the undergrowth but the crater is largely covered with pastures.
