The Otago farmers market is held every Saturday morning right by the Dunedin railway station. The market is very well known for not only their fresh produce, but also dozens of stalls and shops that sell prepared foods, desserts, meats, fish, flowers and plants, and all sorts of bakery items.
The Otago Farmers Market is an authentic farmers market staying true to the principles of being solely a food market, with vendors coming from within the Otago region and being at their stall every Saturday to talk to customers. Established in March 2003, they are one of the oldest, authentic farmers markets in New Zealand.
