Newark Air Museum

Newark Air Museum is a VAQAS registered venue and an Accredited Museum, which is located on the former World War II airfield of Winthorpe in eastern Nottinghamshire. Its diverse collection of more than 90 aircraft and cockpit sections covers the history of aviation, the aircraft on display include 13 (thirteen) National Benchmark aircraft; 34 (thirty-four) Significant aircraft and 21 (twenty-one) Noteworthy aircraft as listed in the National Aviation Heritage Register.

The museum is a registered charity (No.256434) that first opened to the public more than forty years ago in April 1973. Over the years its collection has grown to become one of the largest volunteer managed aviation museums in Great Britain. Open 361 days of the year the museum now has extensive under cover displays, including two aircraft display halls that house more than 48 aircraft and helicopters. This means that visitors can find something to see or do whatever the weather.
