Marshan Palace, Tangier, Taza-Al Hoceima-Taounate, Morocco

Leaving the kasbah and the city wall behind, you’ll find the Marsahn neighborhood with its striking houses and mansions displaying a greater Western influence than those in the medina, but still worthy of attention. Stroll through its streets, discover its gardens and visit the Phoenician necropolis, where you will see the remains of tombs carved on the rocks as you admire from this curious ‘balcony’ the huge bay that surrounds Tangier. Afterward, take a break at the Café Hafa for a mint tea on its wonderful stepped terrace on the cliff overlooking the Strait and the coast of Spain across the water. A real treat!
