Leeds Grand Theatre

This is one of the only cities outside London to have its own Opera and Ballet companies. The Leeds Grand Theatre dates back to 1878, is home to Opera North and hosts regular productions from Northern Ballet and musicals from London’s West End. Leeds Heritage Theatres is a registered charity united by a single cause; to bring people together, create the extraordinary and provide a positive environment in which to entertain and educate.

Leeds Grand Theatre is around 10 minutes’ walk from Leeds bus station and 15 minutes’ walk from Leeds train station. Buses to the centre also stop nearby on The Headrow, Vicar Lane and Boar Lane, all of which are within 5-10 minutes’ walk of the venue.

Lovely theatre! Beautiful traditional architecture, really makes it feel special inside. The seating is spaced nicely too, sufficient legroom compared to some theatres I’ve been in! I’ve been to a few performances including opera, ballets and musicals – always a very special night out if you enjoy live theatre.
