Lago Erhai, China
The Lake Erhai is an alpine lake located in Yunnan Province, two kilometers from the city of Dali and under the Cangshan mountains. The lake is located 1972 meters high and has an area of 250 km 2 .
The name of the lake, which literally means ” sea of ear “, is given because if you look from the top of the Cangshan mountains the lake offers us the shape of an ear. On its banks we can find many villages and temples. Ferries that cross it are frequent and facilitate the visit to other points of interest of the lake as its beautiful islands or temples.
