Glasgow St Mungo’s Cathedral
Glasgow Cathedral, also called the High Kirk of Glasgow or St Kentigern’s or St Mungo’s Cathedral, is the oldest cathedral in mainland Scotland and is the oldest building in Glasgow. Since the Reformation the cathedral continues in public ownership, within the responsibility of Historic Environment Scotland
The Glasgow Cathedral is the best example of medieval architecture in Scotland to have survived mostly intact. The soaring ceilings of the church are one of the best examples of Gothic features. Buildings which heights challenged physics were a fundamental part of goth architecture featured here. Reaching to the heaven.
