Corduroy Restaurant

Corduroy is the most underrated restaurant in all of DC. Chef Tom Power transforms ingredients and takes them to another level. I love starting every meal here with the seasonal soup – yesterday, he had parsnip soup and charred tomato soup as available options, and of course, we got both.

Corduroy is owned by Tom Power, who is also its chef. The luxury restaurant serves the best food of the season and offers a modern and cozy atmosphere. Also, Corduroy features 2 private rooms for private parties, seating up to 40 guests. And for larger events, the entire restaurant can be made available. It has one simply rule: Strictly no shorts permitted. When it comes to food, Corduroy offers 2 courses. The first one includes Northern Neck Corn Soup, Thai Chili Tomato Soup, Tomato Tonnato, Noriko’s Shiso Salad, Crab Blintz with Chayote Slaw, Local Tomato Salad with Basil Oil and Carpaccio of Lobster with Drawn Butter. We recommend the second course: Wagyu Beef Strip Loin with Garlic Mashed Potato, Peppered Rare Big Eye Tuna with Sushi Rice and Hijiki, Roast and Confit Guinea Hen with Maitake Mushrooms, Soft Shell Crabs with Wilted Greens and Verjus, Crispy Wild Salmon with Warm Potato Salad and Chive Beurre Blanc and Charcoal Grilled Niman Ranch Pork Loin with Roasted Squash.
