Caverna Aroe-Jari e Gruta da Lagoa Azul, Chapada dos Guimaraes, State of Mato Grosso, Brazil
One of the most beautiful walks of the Chapada dos Guimarães leads to the cave Aroe Jari (“Morada das Almas”), a gigantic sandstone grotto (the largest in the country) with a length of 1.5 km, submerged stretches and many cave paintings.
Its main opening sums up to 10 meters high and 60 meters wide. Another side entry also draws attention to the grandeur. Take flashlights to explore the environment to the fullest.
