BMW Museum

Futuristic steel museum housing engines, designs plus vintage & new cars from the much-loved brand. Visit the world famous BMW Museum. In 1922, the first products were exhibited as unmarketable memorabilia in a room of the Munich factory. 1966 it became a working museum, which has been upgraded with a new historical exhibition. In the 1960s, the BMW Board of Management decided to build a new administration center.

From an international board architecture competition was the Viennese architect Prof. Karl Schwanzer as the winner. He owes BMW that now pioneering skyscraper Ensemble in conjunction with an independent museum building in the form of a silver-gray bowl. On 18 May 1973, was BMW ensemble officially opened.  The exhibition in the new house was marked by a relatively simple presentation of exhibits that do not pretended the characteristic museum architecture. Today it is the most visited corporate museums in Germany.
