The royal couple described themselves as “appalled and saddened” by the violence, standing in solidarity with those affected and with the Jewish community during this tragic moment.
Following the horrific events, which have been officially deemed an act of terrorism by Australia’s Police Commissioner, Mal Lanyon, the King addressed the Australian people with a message of compassion, condemning hatred in all its forms and affirming the enduring values of tolerance, dignity, and unity that connect communities across nations.

“My wife and I are appalled and saddened by the most dreadful antisemitic terrorist attack on Jewish people attending the Chanukah celebration at Bondi Beach,” read King Charles’s statement.
