Gallows Hill is the former family home of Mary Hutchinson who married the famous English Poet William Wordsworth in the local village church in Brompton by Sawdon on October 4th 1802.
We wanted to create a Bed and Breakfast that was really special. We were extremely lucky to find this spectacular Country House, in a wonderful county, where we can hopefully provide our guests with a memorable stay. We opened our B & B at the beginning of July 2019. Our beautifully furnished en-suite bedrooms and one and two bedroom suites sleep from two to five guests. Every room has its own table and chairs allowing our guests to eat breakfast in the privacy of their own room each morning. The whole property has families in mind, and we are small enough to provide a personal service for all of our guests.
