Harstad Cultural House is a cultural center located at Hamnneset in Harstad city center in Troms county. It is co-located with Clarion Collection Hotel Arcticus , North Norway Festivals , Culture in Troms and the Armed Forces Musikkorps Northern Norway . In addition, Harstad Library is in this building, with more than 60,000 books.
The Culture House was completed in 1992 , as Northern Norway’s largest cultural center . The building is 12,000 m² and a combination of new buildings and older factory areas. The cultural center consists mainly of the Storsalen and Lillesalen. The grand hall has a total of 1000 seats spread over 620 in parquet and 380 in the gallery. The Lillesalen has a retractable amphibious room with room for 153, in addition to the gallery around 50. In addition to this, the cultural house has foyer on both the 2nd and 3rd floors used for smaller companies, lunch concerts, etc.
