Zakk – Centre for Action, Culture and Communication
zakk has been around since 1977, when it was founded under the somewhat unwieldy name Center for Action, Culture and Communication, zakk for short. Since then, the cultural center in the old factory building in the Flingern district has enriched the lives of many people in Düsseldorf and far beyond with its diverse program. zakk picks up current trends and addresses them, on a political as well as on a cultural level. zakk offers people space to become active. Maybe even go on stage. Some become famous. Others already are when they are guests at the zakk. It doesn’t matter what happens at zakk, whether it’s music, the spoken word, a party, discussions or DIY: zakk is loud and quiet. And can make you happy.
