Yanaka Cemetery, Taitō, Japan

This sprawling scenic burial ground is the final resting place of Japan’s last shogun

In the temple town of Yanaka, the cemetery of Kanonagaji and Tennoji gathered together to form a group of graveyards, and there is also a trace of the Tennoji Five-Story Pagoda in the cemetery, which became a model of the Koda novel’s novel “Five Standing Pagoda”.

The northern side of the cemetery becomes a hill that abuts the JR railway line, and you can wish for a sky tree. The garden is bright and quiet, and well-known painters, literary actors, actors and others are sleeping. Establishment was in Meiji 7, about 10 hectares in area.
