Victoria Palace Theatre

Large, 1500-seat tiered theatre with marble foyer, gold mosaic, restored facade and cupola. The Victoria Palace Theatre opened in 1911 and was designed by renowned theatre architect Frank Matcham, who also designed the London Palladium and London Coliseum. A gilded gold statue of the ballerina Anna Pavlova was placed atop the theatre when it opened in 1911, it was removed during World War II for safety and subsequently lost.
