Varanger Museum IKS avd Sør-Varanger, Kirkenes, Finnmark, Norway

Sør-Varanger Museum has the main focus on border stories in southern Varanger, where the borders between Norway, Finland and Russia meet. The museum was established in 1964, and the first building belonging to the museum was Bjørklund farm, which was purchased in 1967. Until 1997, Strand School was the main building, but when the Grenseland Museum in Kirkenes was completed the same year, the administration was moved and new permanent exhibitions were put there.
