Unter den Linden

One of Berlin’s most historic boulevards, Unter den Linden stretches from the Brandenburg Gate to the Lustgarten, passing by notable landmarks such as the Berlin Cathedral, Humboldt University, and the State Opera House. Lined with trees, statues, and historic buildings, Unter den Linden is a popular destination for both tourists and locals.

Running from the Spree River to the Brandenburg Gate, it is named after the linden trees that line the grassed pedestrian mall on the median and the two broad carriageways. The avenue links numerous Berlin sights, landmarks and rivers for sightseeing
