Two Mile Reef, Bazaruto Island, Mozambique
One of the best snorkeling places in East Africa, Two Mile Reef offers an opportunity to admire diverse marine animal life and breathtaking underwater views. See schools of reef fish swimming in the fields of stag horn coral, as well as honeycomb moray eels hunting for prey in the crevices. If you’re lucky, you may also spot the occasional hawksbill turtle swimming casually past. Visit in August for the chance to see humpback whales playing in the ocean.
