Tufan Erginbilgic

Tufan Erginbilgic is the CEO of Rolls-Royce, having taken over the role in January 2023. Born in Turkey, Erginbilgic has had a long and successful career in the energy and industrial sectors. Prior to joining Rolls-Royce, he spent more than 20 years at BP, where he held various senior roles, including leading the company’s downstream business. During his time at BP, Erginbilgic was responsible for refining, petrochemicals, service stations, and the lubricants division, making downstream the most profitable business within BP.

In addition to his role at Rolls-Royce, Erginbilgic also serves as a non-executive director at several companies, including Türkiye Petrol Rafinerileri A.Ş. (Tüpraş), the largest oil refiner in Turkey. He is known for his strong leadership in driving transformations and for his focus on sustainability and innovation.

Erginbilgic holds an engineering degree from Istanbul Technical University and an MBA from Boğaziçi University. His appointment at Rolls-Royce comes as the company seeks to continue its journey toward sustainable technologies and expanding its engineering capabilities
