Tripoli Port Lighthouse, Libya
The Tripoli port lighthouse in Libya is 116 feet above sea level. And operates at night by a system of electricity with a difference of 220 volts and equipped with a light bulb of 1000 watts, and the range of light to 16 nautical mile.
The lighthouse works every 10 seconds with three orange light signals to help all the sea pieces recognize the coast at night. The tunnel has black and white stripes to illustrate the location of Tripoli’s maritime port and the lighting to clarify the location at night.
The first lighthouse was established in the port city of Tripoli in 1880, while the previous lighthouse of the current lighthouse was built between 1924 and 1926 and was designed by the Italian architect Aldo Bruski, destroyed during World War II in 1943.
