Toktogul Reservoir, Kyrgyzstan
Kyrgyzstan actually houses 2 major hydroelectric stations, Kurpsai and Toktogul. Toktogul Reservoir was built over 10 years ago and is a true mark of human ingenuity.
Residents of the Jalal-Abad Province and visitors making their way through the area often take a stroll to the reservoir’s edge to go on a picnic, do some swimming in the warm waters, or try their hand at some fishing. Some of the kinds of fish you can find in the Toktogul Reservoir are carp, pike, and trout.
