The ancient city of Tlos, located within the borders of Seydikemer’s Yaka Quarter, is located in the Unesco World Heritage List and is one of the oldest settlements in the geography known as the Lycia Region. The acropolis at the entrance to the ancient city of Dlawa in the 14th century BC Hittite documents and Tlawa in the Lycian inscriptions greatly affects viewers with its dominant image.
Approximately 500 meters high with its steep slopes, the surrounding area of the acropolis hut, which is protected from nature, has been fortified with fortification walls. The tombs carved on the slope in the slope of Tlos attract attention. The most spectacular of these tombs is the tomb monument of Bellerephontes, where the winged horse Pegasus is depicted as a battle with the three-headed monster Chimera. The two columns, three parted walls, the door decorated with ornaments in the middle, and the doors leading to the grave room on the two sides increase further. There are a few rows of seats, stadiums, baths, theater and church remains on the skirts of the acropolis. There is a nine meter wide Lycian (Lycian) wall remains on the plain below the castle. In the south of the city agoras with six arched gate stands the walls of the Roman Period. The important structure of Tlos is theater. However, the stadium is also of great importance. Tlos is also known as the sports city of Lycia.
