Theater September 4, Teresina, State of Piauí, Brazil
Teatro 4 de Setembro is located in the Brazilian city of Teresina, Piauí. It preserves a facade with Portuguese-inspired architecture and Greco-Roman details. It is located in the Pedro II square in the center of the capital of Piauí and is one of the main stages for the performing arts in the State. History The idea of building the theater was a group of ladies and the First Lady of the state, who longed for a house of Modern and comfortable shows for new capital.
The then President of the province of Piauí, Theophilo dos Santos, started the work on September 4, 1889. The choice of the place, in the then Aquidabã Square, today Pedro II Square, was by tale of the land in a good topographic level and location The theater floor was designed by the civil engineer Alfredo Modrak,
