Enjoy a wide selection of freshly prepared food and drink in a choice of exceptional spaces – the world’s oldest museum restaurant with its beautifully designed period rooms, or our Garden Cafe. Why not start your day with a barista-made coffee and pastry? If it’s lunch you’re after, then you’ll be spoilt for choice with an ever-changing array of hot and cold meals, salads and sandwiches.

Children can take their pick from our lunchtime meal box. Tempting cakes, freshly baked scones and a selection of speciality teas are available throughout the day. Designed by James Gamble, William Morris and Edward Poynter, the opulently decorated rooms reflect the eclectic tastes of the Victorian era.

The Garden Café is a hidden oasis in the centre of the building and is open all year round (only open on weekends during the winter period). Choose from a selection of tempting cakes, salads and sandwiches, speciality teas and coffees, as well as cold beverages.
