The SSE Hydro Arena
The SSE Hydro is a multi-purpose indoor arena located within the Scottish Event Campus in Glasgow, Scotland. The arena is named after its main sponsor, energy company SSE plc. The arena was designed by the London-based architects Foster + Partners and officially opened on 30 September 2013, with a concert by Rod Stewart.
The SSE Hydro is in Glasgow, Scotland’s largest city, beside the Scottish Event Campus. Glasgow is a city with everything to offer. It is Scotland’s concert-going city, with an enviable worldwide musical pedigree, but also home of the broadcast media, Scottish Opera, major theatres and other cultural treasures.
