Palm Jumeirah is a man-made archipelago of islands created using land reclamation. It is the smallest but most developed of the three original islands that were meant to form the Palm Islands of Dubai, the other two being Palm Jebel Ali and Palm Deira.
The Palm was created by Nakheel, a government owned construction company, and it houses numerous residential complexes apart from some of Dubai’s big attractions. First residential units on Palm Jumeirah were handed over in 2006, and by 2007, it had become the largest artificial island in the world. It has been a thing of wonder for visitor and spectators around the world, and many continue to flock to admire The Palm and enjoy its developments as they come.
