The Omsk Regional Museum of The Fine Arts, Omsk, Omskaya oblast, Russia
The hugest in Siberia and Far East art collection of fine arts includes about 30 thousand memorials of world’s fine arts. Art works of painting, graphic art, sculpture, items of decorative and applied art, rare printed editions and documentary memorials were created by masters of Russia, Western and Eastern Europe, Central and Middle Asia, Middle East, North Africa and North America.
History of Omsk regional M.A. Vrubel museum of fine arts starts from the art gallery founded at West-Siberian Area museum and opened for visitors on 21 December 1924. Historical axis of the “golden fund” in Omsk is formed of art works by foreign masters of XVI-XVIII centuries – Isaac Van Ostade, David Teniers Junior, Jan Venix, Simon Vue, Clodion, and masterpieces by Russian artist of XVIII – early XX century: I.K. Aivazovsky, A.V. Lentulov, I.E. Repin, I.I. Shishkin, M.A. Vrubel. Numerous exhibitions, both held in the museum itself or in the exposition grounds of other Russian or foreign cities, contribute to promotion of collections
