The Lowry
A breathtaking international landmark, The Lowry is a “must see” attraction. Set in a magnificent waterside location at the heart of Salford Quays, The Lowry brings together a wide variety of performing and visual arts under one roof. The Lowry houses two main theatres and a studio space for performing arts, presenting a range of drama, opera, ballet, dance, musicals, children’s shows, popular music, jazz, folk and comedy.
The gallery spaces display the works of LS Lowry alongside a programme of changing contemporary exhibitions. Families can explore the work of LS Lowry on The Deck, with the chance to get hands on and create their own artworks. Visitors can dine in a variety of restaurants, cafes and bars, many offering spectacular waterside views of the expansive Manchester Ship Canal. The Lowry is ideally located for onward visits to Imperial War Museum North, Lowry Outlet Mall, and Ordsall Hall.
