The Edgbaston is a 20 bedroom boutique hotel and cocktail lounge located in leafy Edgbaston, just 10 minutes on foot or 3 minutes in a cab to Broad Street the centre of Birmingham. We are closed on Monday’s, open Tuesday to Sunday, with Bar Service serving cocktails and an extensive variety of drinks on Tuesdays from 5pm – 11pm, 12 noon – Midnight Wednesday / Thursday / Sunday and from 12 noon until 1am on Fridays and Saturdays. Afternoon Tea is served Wednesday – Sunday 12 noon until 5pm. Our rooms are available for an overnight stay Tuesday to Sunday. Bar food is available from 5pm – 10pm Tuesday to Sunday. Alongside our amazing cocktails we have an informal bar menu inspired by broad European and British influences with dishes designed for sampling and sharing. Our award winning Afternoon Tea is served Wednesday to Sunday in our cocktail lounges from noon until 5pm, a delicious decadent treat not to be missed! Please be sure to book in advance! The decor here is pretty luxurious and you can expect extremely attentive staff. The bar, situated within the hotel, has a signature drink named ‘The Edgbaston’, to honour the leafy suburb in which it exists. There’s also a cocktail named ‘Adam and Steve’, where every ingredient is apparently an aphrodisiac. Whatever you choose, if you want to drink here, it’s best to book in advance. Built in 1847, this art deco-themed hotel is 0.8 miles from The Birmingham Botanical Gardens and Glasshouses, 0.9 miles from Ikon Gallery and 1.8 miles from Birmingham Town Hall.

Rooms

During your stay at the Edgbaston Boutique Hotel you will be accommodated in one of our 20 individually designed, decorated, contemporary luxury bedrooms. Each en-suite room has a distinct contemporary design. They offer king size beds, so that your stay is truly relaxing. The striking modern interiors of the bedrooms complement the magnificent original features of the building.

The Edgbaston Hotel boasts prominent characteristic features revealed to you throughout the boutique hotel, including original Victorian architecture evident both inside and out. Some guests will find a favourite room and return every time. Others will choose to try a different one on each visit.

Each room was designed by the owners Stuart and Darren Insall alongside leading interior designer Tony Matters who pays homage to the building’s Victorian past and early romantic era. Each of the rooms is individually designed and all are lavishly equipped.
