The Citizen Glasgow

Scottish meat & fish-centric dishes in a mid-century interior with brunch & afternoon tea menus. Order a “hauf an a hauf”* and it might well be the best in dear old Glasgow town. Our Tennent’s Tank beer is the freshest pint you can get outside the brewery itself. Non-pasteurised and straight from brewery to bar, our tank fresh beer will have the date the tank was filled and it’s unlikely to spill into double digit days, even in the driest dry Januarys.  For the chaser, we cover from Famous Grouse to the rarest of The Macallans. Or if neat isn’t your style, we do a classic Old Fashioned to a great Sour. The cocktails are second to none. * a hauf an a hauf is a half pint of lager with a whisky chaser

If you want to add some sparkle to your night, The Citizen offers a Moët & Chandon Champagne list and exquisite champagne cocktails. There’s also an extensive range of fine wines, spirits and it’s the only venue in Glasgow to serve Tennent’s Tank Beer. A DJ provides chilled out beats on Friday and Saturday nights in this A listed building, once home to The Citizen newspaper. Comprising a dining area, Editor’s Suite lounge and the large main bar area, the venue offers fantastic food and a place to celebrate all night long.
