Templo de Diana, Badajoz, Spain

An enormous building that is probably one of the most majestic of those in Roman Mérida. It is one of the only religious buildings that lies on its original site. The base is surrounded by columns and hexastyle temple with six front facing columns. It is thought that a garden with a pond existed beside the temple and in the 16th century the palace for the Duke of Corbos was built. Visit Spain. Epic Spain Route © Monika Newbound
