Teatro Romano de Mérida, Badajoz, Spain

The Roman Theatre is the most representative of the Monumental of Mérida element. It was inaugurated between 16-15 centurarys. For centuries it was buried, remaining visible only the top of the bleachers that made up seven large blocks popularly known as the Seven Chairs. The -cavea- stands, with a capacity for 6000 spectators, was built, in part, using the slope of the hill of San Albín.Visit Spain. Epic Spain Route © Monika Newbound
