Teatro Marquina

The 500-seat Marquina Theater is located in the Justicia neighborhood in the downtown district of Madrid, Spain. It stands on a plot that the playwright Eduardo Marquina bequeathed to the Montepío de Autores, hence its name was given to it. It was inaugurated on December 21, 1962 with the work Operation Embassy of Joaquín Calvo Sotelo.

In 1982 it closed its doors, although it reopened two years later. In 1996 Don Alejandro Colubi demolished the Marquina theater, to raise it again with more advances. On March 17, 1998 it was reopened with Núria Espert starring in Master Class.
