The actor, Antonio Banderas, produces, directs and stars in this classic musical considered to be a masterpiece of the genre, produced by Teatro del Soho CaixaBank and winner of the Max Award for the Best Musical. It is a production that can be seen from 17 November until 14 February 2023 on stage at the recently inaugurated Umusic Hotel Teatro Albéniz.

Company premièred on Broadway in 1970 and won six Tony Awards, including Best Musical. Thanks to Antonio Banderas, this is the first time that this great classic on the musical scene has been performed in Spanish. First in Malaga, then in Barcelona and finally it is coming to Madrid this autumn. The actor from Malaga played the legendary Bobby, the main character in the musical comedy, Company in Malaga in 2021, which was an unprecedented hit with the audience and the critics alike.

The show includes music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim, author of classics like Into the Woods, Follies or Sweeney Todd and the libretto is by George Furth. The musical director of the Teatro del Soho CaixaBank, Arturo Díez-Boscovich will conduct an orchestra of 26 musicians who will perform live on a revolving stage set in 1970’s New York.

The musical boasts a cast of leading figures from the Spanish music scene, headed by Antonio Banderas, who is accompanied by (in alphabetic order): María Adamuz, Albert Bolea, Lorena Calero, Javier Enguix, Laura Enrech, Lydia Fairén, Robert González, Dulcinea Juárez, Silvia Luchetti, Julia Möller, Paco Morales, Marta Ribera, Carlos Seguí, Rai Borrell, Bealia Guerra, Beatriz Mur, Álvaro Puertas and Lourdes Zamalloa.
