Taroko National Park is located at the eastern starting point of the Central Cross-Island Highway. This highway starts in the west at Dongshi, passes through Lishan and Dayuling and follows the Liwu River to Taroko Gorge, passing through Guanyuan, Ci’en, Luoshao and Tianxiang (Note: the stretch of highway from Deji Reservoir to Guguan is closed. Please take the Provincial 14 A highway from Puli, Nantou county, through Wushe to Dayuling, then take Provincial Highway No. 8 Highway to Taroko.
