One of Germany’s largest and oldest Christmas markets, a must-visit during the holiday season. The Stuttgart Christmas Market, known as “Stuttgarter Weihnachtsmarkt,” is one of the oldest and largest Christmas markets in Germany, with a history dating back over 300 years. Located in the heart of Stuttgart, the market spans several central locations, including the Marktplatz, Schillerplatz, and the area in front of the Old Palace and the New Palace. The market typically opens from late November to just before Christmas, drawing millions of visitors each year with its festive atmosphere, beautifully decorated wooden stalls, and a wide variety of seasonal offerings.
The market features around 300 stalls selling traditional Christmas decorations, handcrafted gifts, toys, and an array of culinary delights such as roasted chestnuts, mulled wine (Glühwein), gingerbread, and sausages.
