Marco Polo’s wild tales of wine flowing through the fountains of Kublai Khan may be fanciful but having been mostly mocked, many modern historians are taken great note of his tales. Written down by a fellow prisoner, Marco was a Croat. The people who gave us Silk Ties or crevattes. He did become a very rich merchant after his 20 years of so to the Yuan Dynasty.
