We are the Memorial St. Nikolai – a living place of remembrance and encounter in the heart of Hamburg. This place connects the present with the past and the future. It commemorates the victims of the bombing raids in the context of the National Socialist war of annihilation and offers the opportunity to understand how wars can arise. It is experiential with all the senses: you can view the city from the tower, listen to the carillon, engage with history in the museum, and exchange ideas at our events.
