St. Mary’s Cathedral, Unesco Site, Hildesheim, Germany
The Hildesheimer Dom St. Mary’s Ascension is one of the oldest bishop’s churches in Germany. Its history dates back to the 11th century and its origins date back to the year 815.
In 1985, the Hildesheimer Dom and the Cathedral Treasury together with St. Michaelis were included in UNESCO’s World Heritage List.
