Sri Nakhon Park
Tranquil city park features abundant green space, walking paths, a lake & a bird viewing platform. Set in an area of 148-rai, Sri Nakhon Khuean Khan Park, or Suan Sri, is an ideal place to enjoy fresh air, leisure and exercise activities as well as study ecosystem which includes hundreds species of plants and animals. The park is also widely known among bird lovers as an excellent place for bird watching. Sri Nakhon Khuean Khan Park comprises a biking trail where bike lovers can enjoy the beauty and shade of lush tress, former fruit ridges and a restored forest. In the past Bang Kachoa island was home to Nakhon Khuean Khan city, a major Mon community which was settled there since the early Rattanakosin period. The traces of the Mon’s rich cultural legacy are still seen at various old temples.
