Cycling BMX
For the Paris 2024 Games, the BMX racing events will take place in Saint- Quentin-en-Yvelines at the heart of a cycling hub near Élancourt Hill, where the mountain bike competitions will take place. Located right beside the Vélodrome National, which will host the track cycling events, the Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines BMX Stadium is fully covered – a rare feature at such venues. The 400 m track regularly hosts UCI BMX Supercross World Cup events. It will be redesigned specifically for the Games to bring the sport to new spectacular heights.
Just like the velodrome, the BMX stadium is a legacy of Paris’ bid for the 2012 Games. All these world class facilities (available to people of all sporting abilities) and the dozens of kilometres of cycling lanes and paths (forming a network of bike-friendly routes after the Games) will cement Yvelines’ status as a cycling hotspot.
