SoWa Art + Design District
Welcome to SoWa Boston, the Art + Design district alive with restaurants, artist studios, galleries, home decor showrooms, and fashion boutiques housed in chic reclaimed industrial warehouse buildings. Sunday (from May to October) is a fun day when artisans, craftspeople, designers, and local farmers gather in the SoWa Open market, and shop owners open their doors.
If Boston were a person, SoWa would be its creative side alive with curiosity and imagination. Home to The SoWa Artists Guild – a non-profit association of professional studio artists, it’s the soul of the city’s art scene. With 20+ galleries and great restaurants, the neighborhood “hums” with energy, especially on the First Fridays when galleries and studios open their doors.
