South Boston Korean War Memorial
In June 2008, a stone monument to Father James H. Lane was placed to the right of the Korean War Memorial. On Castle Island along the Harborwalk is the monument dedicated to South Boston soldiers who fell during the Korean War. Dedicated in 1991 and rededicated in October 2011 for the 20th Anniversary. The 20 names engraved on the honor roll represent all five major branches of the military, honoring those that died while serving in the Korean War from South Boston.
