Xizi Bay is famous for its beautiful sunsets and natural reefs. The area includes Xizi Bay Bathing Beach, Haibin Park, and the British Consulate of Dagou….etc. The sea view and the Kaohsiung Harbor are overlooked. The bathing beach is very tropical and the southern style is very popular. When the night falls and the sunset shines, the light of the fishing boat flickers, showing the beauty of the sky and the sea. Xizi Bay’s Xizi evening light is one of the eight scenic spots in Kaohsiung. At sunset, along the stone balustrade along the coastal berm, it is the best place to enjoy the sunset.
Not far from Xizi Bay, the inscription for the gate of the sentry fort is “The North Gate of the Xiong Town”. The font is huge and the stroke is powerful. This was established in the first year of Qing Emperor Guangxu. It is currently a national three-level monument. It was built at the same time as the flag fort and at the same time. It is now no longer a cannon, and only arc-shaped cannons are available for later generations to think about ancient times.
