Development of the statute of the Silesian Museum and the start of work on the project of the Museum – one of the most modern in Europe at that time museum building through the defense by Karol Schayer. Unfortunately, despite the completion of construction in 1939, the building did not live to the official opening. Completion of the work coincided with the outbreak of the Second World War, and instead of opening a symbol of Polish looting was carried out by the Nazis. Part of the collection, which were rescued from destruction transported to Oberschlesisches Landesmuseum in Bytom, Upper Silesian Museum today.
