Sharjah Maritime Museum
The Sharjah Maritime Museum first opened its doors in 2003 in the Heritage Area. It was re-located to a new building in Al Khan and re-opened on July 7, 2009.
This museum sheds lights on marine life which formed a major part of Sharjah’s heritage. The sea played a key role in the development of coastal cities and was the primary reason for their development over 6,000 years ago.
